Largest bookstore in Kuwait opening soon

It looks like Al Salasil will be opening their bookstore at the Avenues soon. It’s supposed to be the largest bookstore in Kuwait, yes you read right… BOOKSTORE! Over the Eid they placed transparent boxes filled with books at the airport with a teaser message “Heading to the biggest bookstore in Kuwait”. I hope it turns out to be cool.

I can't quite make up my mind on what i think about the 'Art is meant to disturb' sign in Mishref. Sometimes, i see it and think 'wow, it's awesome' and other times i just feel --> :S about it. I agree with the phrase but in what way is spraying the it on a wall art? in what way is it disturbing? I have to give the unknown creator props, it is creative, and a one of a kind thing, but then again I can't help but debate it with myself.

This really got me thinking so i decided to sorta follow up on it. Memory does go away in time but there always seems to be that moment where it decides to sneak up on you and take you off guard. As for guilt, i'm still waiting for it to fade. Lil2asaf i have a conscience that constantly haunts me and won't let me be. It's not necessarily the things i've done, but the things i have witnessed. Nervousness does not.. i repeat, does not go away in time. I've met people who are naturally always nervous and it never seems to fade. And, i can testify that occasionaly in situations i'll start off in full confidence but then suddenly fear and nervousness overcomes me. As for heartbreak, mines is still pumping. Lot's of people claim to be in love/or heartbroken but i honestly can't relate. Love is when it's mutual between two people and i have never experienced that. *crushing on a person, or mentally dating a celebrity is not love.* Foreign language... I am fluent in both arabic and english but sometimes i get a brain freeze and i have to merge both languages together to communicate properly. I had to take spanish as a kid as a second language and at the time i understood it well enough to get myself by but now... most of thats gone. I'm not even going to bother discussing sight-reading ability. As for joint flexibility your not going to be seeing me doing the splits any time soon. So basically thats what fades over time. But you have that one thing that never changes or fades... your soul, the essence of your personality. People change over time but the change that occurs is never whole. People usually either add and build up themselves or lose some aspects of their personality but a person can never completely go down.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has activated decision No. 614/1967 which allows foreigners, who enter Kuwait on tourist visas and stay in five-star hotels, to consume alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily. Sources said alcohol will be served in specially allocated places and the guests will not be allowed to drink in public places. MP Waleed Al-Tabtabaei reacted to the report, saying “it is either a joke or certain parties are testing waters to see if the idea will work.” Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Al-Tabtabaei said “the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has denied all such reports and added that it did not issue any such circular in 1977.”

Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are the only 2 countries in the world that have banned alcohol consumption and that is something i am proud of! They better not allow it.

The sky in Kuwait has been Beautiful the past week, I decided to post pictures of it for todays inspiration because what's more inspiring than nature? The only thing missing is rain, the one time it did I was in class and the teacher wouldn't let us leave the room (Allah y5is iblees'ha!) Next time it rains i seriously don't care where I am i'm just going to get up and go outside :) Ilmohim, the pictures below have all been taken at different times of the day and all in Kuwait! :D

Why I Love My Mother

I've become pretty environment obsessed lately and lots of times I feel like people don't take me seriously. But then I came home and saw this:

My mom called up a company called MRC that recycle things, the last picture has their number and I seriously recommend people call them and ask about the service they provide. They bring in cardboard boxes to you your house labeled and everything and when they're full, you call them and they pick them up, it's as easy as that! Shtaboon ba3ad :P

Some of the display windows at the avenues are pretty cool, saw this and I love how they made it out of tissue paper, from a far it actually looks like a real dress! I took this picture a while back and it was the only store who had this as their display, now going back after a while you see a lot of stores starting to copy them. Originality is sophistication at it's finest so other places should start coming up with their own ideas!

Went shopping today

and the winner of my favorite thing bought goes to.........
the BBQ Chicken panini i bought at Au Bon Pain!

 It was a good healthy option that was basically chicken fillet, with cheddar cheese, barbeque sauce, caramelized onions, and... you ready for it? Asparagus! And it is officially my favorite sandwich, the only thing i have to complain about is the to-go bag, i think they were going for the old school paper lunch bag look but it sooooooo did not work, and it was awkward carrying it around.
