Breakfast At Pizzetta

While waiting for a seat at a neighboring restaurant, we got impatient and decided to go to Pizzetta for breakfast because why not have pizza for breakfast? Although we were planning on full on ordering and attacking a burger pizza, the waitress informed us they served actual breakfast which sounded worth trying... And it was! I highly recommend you try their breakfast and will point out our favorites. Now... the pictures and food:

The cappuccino was nothing special, if you want a real treat go for the drink below.

The only Sun related named drink on the menu, it's the perfect tropic blend that'll most likely make it on your favorite list. Loved it!

Kraft and honey, it tastes like something home made. I didn't like it very much but out of everything, it was my friends favorite dish.

The safiha was my personal favorite. It's kinda like "arayis" covered with Pizzetta's heaven sauce and absolutely delicious!

Spinach and asparagus eggs cooked in truffle oil

And for dessert... Sugar rush, caramel, peanut butter and chocolate covered with a scoop of ice cream. The perfect ending to a perfect breakfast!

Rawan Rants

We've all had to put up with that one person that's dramatic and complicates everything.Whether it's a friend or family member... they exist. Sometime's you find yourself growing attached to someone that was once a stranger, just because they managed to sneak their way into your life at a moment of weakness. At first, they say all the right things. At all the right times. Then, they evolve into soul sucking leeches who only add negativity to your life.
Why are we compelled to put up with their crap? Last time I checked, we don't. There are those who truly wish the best for others, and try to offer help whenever they can. But then again, there are those who take advantage of people with such intentions. It's nice to think that everyone's good and means well, but there comes a point in life where we have to face the fact that not everyone means you well. Be kind to everyone you meet, but don't tolerate with any sort of abuse from anyone whether it be physical, verbal, or merely being taken advantage of.
There is good in the world, it's everywhere. In people, places, and the smallest of things. See the good, but also don't turn your back away from the bad. Learn to recognize it. Be an optimist, just don't be a dumb-ass. Help people. But if they're constantly letting you down and disappointing you, then don't waste your time. You're not obliged to put up with anyone's bullshit. Instead of letting someone bring you down. Cut them out of your life and focus on the ones you're blessed to have that add value to your life.

Mesbah Zain

I was invited to attend the first premiere of Zain's musical play and truth be told... It was amazing! The actors did a great job. The music was upbeat. And the stage and costumes were all extraordinary. The kids loved it and I recommend you book your tickets if you're looking for something different to do and fun to watch during Eid. I'll leave you with pictures and see for yourselves!

A Dose of Optimism

The one thing that's constant is change. We are always evolving into new and better versions of ourselves. We're constantly changing. Not completely, but in the sense of adding to our personalities and opinions while growing up. There's a lesson to learn from every person you meet and something to gain out of every experience you go through. The comforting news is that we are never finished. The idea of being unfinished is nice, because it always leaves room for improvement. For trying new things, for developing new hobbies and making new friends. Being unfinished means we can cry today, hurt, heal and still find a way to smile tomorrow. If you don't like where your life's at now, stay positive. It can and will get better. We are always moving, evolving, and becoming better versions of ourselves.

A Girl Who Reads

This was sent by one of my good friends Mariam, it's too beautiful not to share:
" Marry a girl who reads. Marry a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Marry a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.
Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.
She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.
Buy her another cup of coffee.
Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.
It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by God, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.
She has to give it a shot somehow.
Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.
Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilight series.
If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.
You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.
You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.
Marry a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, marry a girl who reads.
Or better yet, marry a girl who writes."
